Kanoa Aquatics runs a free camp that teaches blind and visually impaired people to surf. Recently, the Braille Instutute Youth and Career Services Program took thirteen kids there to do just that. Two best friends were highlighted, Lupeta and Lorena blind since birth and nearly inseperable, showing the excitement of surfing and apprehension. In the end, sitting on the beach, talking with your best friend became the real prize of the day.
