  • Project Abstract

Among several programs, Vocational Training is a major factor in determining the success our programs. Our clientele is characterized with fragmented work history and limited education among other multiple barriers to competitive employment.

In the years of 2000, the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) forecasted that desktop publishing will be the fastest growing occupation by the 2010 with a 84% increase. In addition to our numerous programs we have developed a desktop publishing curriculum that runs parallel with industry standards in the work place. Program components consist of vocational assessments, workshops and job placement, with a goal of training 50 clients per year in this area.

Along side of class projects, actual projects of inter-office materials, Greenhope publications and publicity material will be produced. The final phase of implementation targets marketing our services to neighboring businesses to enhance the sustainability of the project through the revenue generating measures.
